Amanda Jean-Pierre, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA
Dr. Jean-Pierre credits a deaf professor with fueling her interest in the science and technology behind audiology. She was introduced to the field while taking classes in American Sign Language, deaf culture and the concepts of hearing science at SUNY Rockland in Suffern, New York. Dr. Jean-Pierre moved to Texas in 2009 to pursue audiology at Lamar University in Beaumont, earning her BS in Communication Disorders in 2012 and her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2017.
Dr. Jean-Pierre is a member of the American Speech-Hearing Association and has earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Her specialties include diagnostic hearing evaluations for patients of all ages, dispensing and fitting hearing aids and educating patients and their families on hearing loss and amplification. She enjoys working at The Hearing Center because of the family-oriented environment, skilled support staff and modern diagnostic equipment. In her spare time, Dr. Jean-Pierre enjoys visiting local museums, botanical gardens and parks with her family. She is an avid reader and a fan of audiobooks and crafting with her children.
